百“辩”青春,碰撞出思想的火花!

VERITAS辩论会


读书使人明智,

写作使人明意,

辩论使人明理。






10月26日-11月2日,由我校英语组举办,全校各年级积极参与的“Veritas第二届校园辩论会”圆满落下帷幕。


本次校内辩论会共设两场,不同组别各四支队伍报名参加。他们就“中美太空竞赛是利还是弊”这一时事热门话题展开立论、攻辩、结辩等。





俗话说:“台上一分钟,台下十年功”,辩论亦是如此。决定辩论胜负的绝不仅仅是场上的十几分钟,赛前大量的准备演练尤为重要。




此次比赛各参赛选手都做足了功课。

他们有的在充分收集己队论据材料下,又能站在对方立场,设想对方论点论据,从而精心准备反驳点以及素材,充分做到对论题了然于胸;有的为了修改打磨论证选择牺牲休息娱乐时间,力求做到完美





也正是由于同学们的精心准备和队友间默契的团结协作才为我们呈现出一场场精彩纷呈的辩论会。

这场没有硝烟的战役异常激烈,两队各执观点,冲锋陷阵,在观点的冲突和碰撞中产生思想的火花,使思想得到升华,同时,他们的论点论据带给台下观众思考和启发。



尽管比赛早已结束,但各小组精彩的陈述仿佛还在耳边回荡。赛场的输赢仅仅是一种形式,相信通过此次辩论会同学们能够收获多角度看待问题的能力和困境下积极突破,遇骤变不惊的心态。更多的,同学们从中学会的是一种精诚团结相互支持和信任的团队精神。

比赛有输赢,但学习和成长永无止境。

相信通过每一次比赛,同学们都能磨练出良好的心态,坦然面对成长路上不期而遇的每一次挑战。



From October 26th to November 2nd, the"Veritas Second Debate Contest" organized by the English Department of Veritas and actively participated by all grades came to an end completely. There were two sessions in total, and eight teams have signed up to participate. The resolve is "A Spacerace between China and the United States would cause more harm or more benefit.".


As the saying goes: "One minute on stage takes ten years off stage", the same is true for debate. It is not just the ten minutes on the stage that determines the victory of the debate. A lot of preparation and drills before the game are especially important. All debaters in this competition were well prepared. On the premise that some students have fully collected their own team’s arguments, they can also stand on the other side's position and imagine the other side’s arguments and carefully prepare counterpoints and materials; some students sacrificed their rest and entertainment time to perfect their arguments.


It is precisely because of the meticulous preparation and tacit cooperation of the students that they have presented a wonderful debate game for us. This battle without gunpowder smoke was extremely fierce. The two teams held their own opinions and charged into the battle. The conflicts and collisions of opinions produced sparks of ideas, which sublimated their ideas. At the same time, their arguments brought thinking and inspiration to the audience.


Winning or losing is only a form. We believe that through this debate, students can gain the ability to look at problems from multiple angles and make positive breakthroughs in difficult situations, and the mentality of taking the rough with the smooth. What's more, what the students learned from it is a team spirit of solidarity, mutual support and trust.


There are winners and losers in the competition, but there is no end to learning. We believe that through every competition, the students will be able to hone good mindset and calmly face every challenge they encounter on the way to growth.
